word on the street tours is a neighborhood tour and game, minus the boring tour guide and corny game show host. download the wots tour app and explore neighborhoods with our self-guided tours + play the game by completing challenges and answering trivia questions along the way!
what to expect?
for each tour, you will be given directions that lead you to important landmarks and sites within the neighborhood. at each stop, you will learn intriguing facts about the location and find out wots the word on the street!
here’s where the game element comes into play. at each location, there’s a street cred trivia question. answer correctly and you will earn 10 points. there are also a number of street cred challenges that you can participate in to increase your score, worth 20 points each. and lastly, bonus points are awarded based on how fast you finish the tour.
30 min or less- 100 points
45 to 30 min- 75 points
60 to 45 min- 50 points
90 to 60 min- 25 points
more than 90 min- 10 points
when you complete the tour, you will be given your final street cred neighborhood ranking and learn just how street savvy you are.
who this is for?
each tour ranges from 1 to 2 miles long and can be enjoyed individually or working together in small groups, 2-4 people per group recommended. if walking is not your thing, no problem! each tour is wheelchair accessible, bike, skateboard, rollerblade, scooter, stroller, and pet friendly too.

download the word on the street tours app. complete your registration by entering your email address and creating a password.
when you are ready to begin the tour, go to the start location, and let the games begin! you have 24 hours to complete the tour.
important tips
while doing the tour, don’t worry about getting lost or stressed out if you don’t know the answers to street cred trivia. not only are detailed directions provided every step of the way, but you also have your handy dandy phone which is your greatest resource on this journey, so don’t be afraid to use it.
because this is a self-guided tour, you can start the tour whenever you want, but once you start, you have 24 hours to complete the tour. make sure you check the weather first and do not click ‘start’ until you are ready to begin.
